New Khata

To get a new e-Khata in Bengaluru, apply for first-time Khata registration through e-Aasthi, submit the required ownership and property documents, pay the applicable charges, and complete the authority's verification process.

A New Khata is the first Khata record created for a property that does not already have a Khata. It records the property in the local authority's assessment register and enables property tax assessment and related civic services.

Form 9 shows property tax assessment details, while Form 11A is used to apply for a fresh khata both are part of the new khata process.

A khata new application typically takes 60 working days from document submission, depending on BBMP/GBA verification.

The cost of Khata in Bangalore depends on the service. Khata transfer generally costs 2% of the stamp duty paid on the registered sale deed, plus applicable certificate and e-Khata charges.
